A Response from The Legend – Jivanbhai

I am overwhelmed and honoured for the love and appreciations shown by the MGS boys, throughout my association with the Society.
In a year, I have had two pleasant and adorable surprises from MGS members.
Last year in 2020, to make my 80th birthday a special memorable one, my daughter, Reshma contacted Naresh and Kaushik and requested, “if anyone from MGS wishes to send in birthday messages on my Papa’s 80th birthday, as there will not be get together due to Covid-19 pandemic lockdown.” Her one phone call and so many of you responded and sent lovely birthday messages either through video, audio or WhatsApp to her. She wished to surprise me by presenting a library of messages from family and friends on my birthday; she did it so well at the family Zoom get together on my 80th Birthday.
Thanks a lot’; everybody in the family really appreciated.
This year the MGS boys gave me even a bigger surprise by bestowing me with an honour, “The Chronicles of an MGS Legendary Figure”, the iconic honour in my life.
Thanks, for the love and affection you all have for me in the MGS.
On both these occasions, I learned that I am proud of my daughter Reshma, she was instrumental and had worked hard towards creating the birthday videos and the honour board of the MGS Legend.
I started playing golf just after an young age of 60. My brother Kishore and nephew Vishal, now residing in New Zealand, initially created interest to take up the game. My aim has always been to play the game for pleasure and exercise. I joined MGS around 2004 and I was still a beginner. I am proud to say that the more experienced players in MGS were instrumental in improving my game by their guidance, advise and observing and adopting their style.
My playing golf at 81 is due to inspirations from you all. Your love and blessings kept me going and will carry on golfing as long as I am able to. At MGS, every golf round gives me the joy and exercise and the evening do’s the satisfaction and pleasure. You can say, that’s the secret of my well-being till today.
I believe, it’s the managing committee, whose dedication and forward vision for the Society, which has taken the MGS to such a high and satisfactory level and wish to achieve even higher level in future.
Jai Shree Krishna
God Bless All.
